I found this book extremely interesting. It gives the author's views, together with scientific discoveries, plus Edgar Cayce's 'readings' on the various chapters. Especially the personal readings on people having had past lives in Atlantis are very revealing. Some of the reasons for the downfall of Atlantis relate to what is happening in our present age, and it is disturbing. The author also offers a hopeful picture on how a repeat of the Atlantean experience can be avoided.
This is one of my favorite books because it has detailed information gathered by Cayce in his trance-state, which reveal the origins of humanity and its various races. It is a pre-'Ancient Aliens' revelations book, about humanity's struggles back before societies existed. This story goes back to the spirit realms and explains how spirits became encumbered in the physical and how many attempts were made to 'rescue' them and return them to the spirit realm. It also reveals the life of Amilius from those beginnings in spirit through incarnations of this same being into the physical throughout human history. This story shows the folly of humanity, the mixing of the species and the separation of them through beautification temples in ancient times. This book does not destroy one's concept of 'religious belief' but enhances it through additional information that explains various details not otherwise known. After all, Edgar Cayce was a Sunday School teacher!
My first copy fell apart because I read it so much. Enormously inspiring, astonishing and wonderful. And that's just the content. That all this and a sheer flood of information was received and transmitted by one humble man who sensed its immense significance is simply a wonder and a blessing. I am so grateful that Lytle Robinson worked through all those readings to present them here.
The author uses information from the many readings to put together this book of the origin of man. He tells how the five races originated, and that man was on the earth long before Adam was put here. He covers early man and how many of the unexplained things like buildings and pyramids of the Inca and Mayans as well as the Pyramids of Egypt, why they were built, and how they were built. That man was put here to be tested, and ultimately to return to the Source, or God. I thought it was very enlightening, though all too brief on many of the early days of man.He uses Bible quotes, and tells us that all mankind is our brothers, and that we ARE our brother's keeper. That kindness and love to all is the way to the light.
This is the BEST book I have ever read! SHOCKING! Finally, a book that explains the unexplainable! All the pieces of the puzzle are coming together. I have search for answers most my life & found them in this book. Edgar Cayce was one of the greatest men that ever lived.
