I've been buying Dover Publications paper dolls for years for my personal collection of historical clothing. These are very well researched. Nice thick glossy paper. I've also been buying my daughters paper dolls since they were young. These really aren't for toddlers, but are great for a little older children. They may need help cutting out the pieces, but eventually will be able to handle it on their own. My girls still have sets that they've had for years!
So far with the help of the free shipping terms of Amazon Prime I've sent this book to six friends and family members spread out across four states, two of which I have not seen in 20 years. We were all teenagers in the 60's and we are now in our 60's either soon to retire or retired. While every one had a different reaction to this book the one thing we had in common is we all absolutely loved it, and the memories it brought back. The phone calls I received over the past few months from each recipient were great. And from what I was told by 3 of the recipients of this book they will be sending it to a few of their friends and family members.
My daugher 30 and granddaughter 5 loved this book. The dresses were on heavyweight paper. They were hard to cut out for a youngster and cutting out the face area wea really trying, but we all had fun just looking at the dresses and picking out our favorites from each page. We actually ended up only cutting out a few outfits, which was fine for us. As for the seller, the items shipped extremely fast and arrived just when they were needed in perfect condition.
I gifted this to a friend who loves 60's fashion - she loved it...!!! You can't beat Dover publications for great quality and fine value...
I bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter but her mother loved it so much she wouldn't let her cut out the dolls or dresses. The fashions are fab and the dolls even more so!So, for now, my granddaughter is enjoying looking at the dolls and her mom is enjoying them even more.I wouldn't suggest buying this for a small child as it a very nice paperdoll book and it is a little tricky to cut out (lots of details). But for adults and older kids it is great.
I bought for my great niece SHE likes a lot. I DON'T because I had to cut everything out for her. Thanks
If you like sixties styles, you will love this! I was surprised to see a see-through dress in the early sixties. I recommend this as a gift for fashion fans.
Loved going back in time to my youth with these. Had a few outfits similar to these. Some rather bizarre ones, too
